DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION
Intro to DEI
In 2020, I led a group of 4 other minority leaders and I drafted a document that outlined the importance of representation of marginalized populations among the executive team. The goal was to make diversity a cornerstone of our corporate culture.

We met with the CEO and discussed our concerns and why it addressing this was important to increase the morale of minority employees at Cortland. Over the next year, we built the DEI committee, hired a full-time DEI manager, created two ERGs, and created reports identifying specific roles with the least diversity that had the greatest opportunity for improvement.

I currently report to the executive team regarding program success and opportunities and have built mentoring and speaking partnerships that are utilized by the ERGs.
